These are fresh out of Switzerland, so we're just now getting a chance to review it for ourselves.

What's the difference than the Flytec 6030 (or equivalent Brauniger IQ Compeo +)?

Well, the 6030 comes with much more options for the serious comp pilot, but with much more cost (add about $1000).

The 6030 has a larger display, programmable start gate times, built in airspeed (instead of plug-in), and many more data fields.

If you are the casual XC pilot, then the Flytec 6015 (and equivalent Brauniger BASIC-GPS) is a great variometer/GPS for a super value.  The 6015 IS NOT a replacement for the 6020/6030 and is intended to be for the recreational pilot so the WP/route function is really not a primary function. The firmware is easily updated by the user which is required as updates are periodically released.  The firmware 2.0 will soon enable the route and waypoint capabilities of this new Flytec 6015  variometer.
