The latest and most advanced variometer? for competitions and cross country flying. Within the aerodynamic housing is an instrument equipped with four high resolution pages, each loaded with numerous user fields that are integrated with the GPS. For example, some of the user fields are: Glide Ratio to Goal, Speeds to Fly, Altitude above/below Best Glide, Last Thermal, and more.
The Compeo+ includes all the features and functions you need to for your comp flying, or serious free-flying. The menu structure is easy to use and the flight-logging function is handy and displays well on the included Fly Chart software. It comes with a USB cable to connect to your computer for flight
uploads, and downloads of free firmware updates.
There's also a permanent display field showing battery strenght and GPS signal. Variable recording intervals ranging from 2 to 60 seconds, with up to 290 hrs of flight recording time. The smart battery technology means that the vario? will auto-switch to the secondary battery bank when the primary bank is exhausted. The batteries can be substituted with common alkaline AA's if required.

The IQ Compeo+ is exactly the same product as the Flytec 6030 Variometer, both are made in the same factory in Switzerland, with the same firmware. The only difference is the label.

Q: This instrument costs a lot more than the Brauniger Basic and Flytec 6015....what makes it better? A: The large LCD display that can display more info per page, it has an integrated Airspeed? probe, along with more functions, and is more competition ready. Check out the Spec's on each model to get up to speed.
If you can't afford it this vario?, go for the Basic or 6015. But, I would not hesitate to buy the Brauniger Compeo+ (or Flytec 6030), if you take your flying seriously and have the cash.
