Brasilia Hang Gliding Competition
Brazil's Super Race 2012 will include Brasiila (Of Course!) as part of the Brazilian Hang Gliding Competition Circuit. It is one of the very best places on planet Earth where hang gliding competitions are held.
Each morning, the competitors drive 1 hour 15 minutes out of Brazil's capital across sparsely populated flatlands where eventually the earth drops away into a rugged valley below. Regular thermals coming ripping up the launch and typically set the whole field of pilots up high for a race start and task zig zagging back into the heart of downtown Brasilia.
The impresive track-record of Brasilia's strong and consistent thermic conditions make it a world class hang gliding destination. (Home of the 2003 Hang Gliding World Championships...Previous Photos: Takeoff and Goal will Bill Moyes)
Curt will most likely be attending this year's event (Brazilian Nationals) and will be Blogging it, as well.
