Rudy Gotes from Valle de Bravo, Mexico. He's one the nicest pilots in the sport.  He came out and flew with us in the Summer of 2009-2010.  I knew that Rudy had been hang gliding for forever, and as many of my old mentors knew of Rudy.  I expected two things:  he must be old, and he's probably cocky!  Well, not at all!   And he was relatively young because even though he'd be flying since the late 70's he was only 11 yrs old when he started hang gliding!  At 14 yrs old he was flying comps in the BIGGEST AIR in the world at the Owens Valley.  There's a lot to admire with Rudy: he's flown so many sites, with a number of interesting characters over the years, and he still operates a hang gliding school in Mexico.  Besides teaching hang gliding, Rudy still loves to fly competitions.  He was the 2011 Mexican National Champion :)
