Learn To Fly With Warren Windsports Hang Gliding School NSW Australia
Novice Training Course Application Process
To apply to Learn to Fly with Warren Windsports please:
- Read through this Novice Training Policies page, the FAQs and the Learn to Fly page.
- Apply online for a position in the Novice Training Course.
- Once your application is accepted, you may pay for a course installment here.
Course fees are to be paid in two installments of $1,250. Most students finish within 2 course installments.
However if additional training is required, additional fees will apply. The course installments allow for a half way time where students have the option to discontinue training if they, or the instructor decide. The course costs are broken down into a credit system whereby costs are deducted from the original course payment.

Fee Structure**
| Weekday Tandem Training Flight | $190 |
| Weekend Tandem Training Flight | $220 |
| Half Day Practical | $150 |
| Full Day Practical * | $250 |
| Formal "Ground School" (can be cost-shared ) | $30/hour |
*Minimum 3 hours
**Prices subject to change without notice
|
Example scenario for a student A:
7 weekday tandem flights=$1330
3 full-days Practical=$750
10 hours Ground School ($300 but shared by 4 students) =$75
Total: $2155 (with over $300 of lesson-credit available)
|
Or another example, Student B:
6 weekend tandems=$1320
5 full-days Practical=$1250
10 hours Ground School ($300 shared by 4 students) =$25
Total: $2645 ($95 additional charged. Note, although most students stay within the $2500)
|
For instance, Student "A" may require more tandem flights for judging the landing approach, while Student "B" might need an additional day or two for perfecting take-off skills. Also, Student A was available for weekday training, which helped to decrease the amount of lesson credit used, compared with Student B.
This credit system has been created through experience and has proved to give each student more personal instruction and better value for money.
Additional Training Days
Students who complete the course with credit to spare will have money to go towards their next level of training, be that an aerotowing endorsement, intermediate certificate or one of our many Advanced Training Clinics.
