Thanks Curt for all your help in getting my Northwing Freedom 150 Mylar sail single surface glider. It is a real joy to fly, quick to set up and easy to land. It has a far better glide than any single surface glider I've ever flown, including the Malibu, Relax, Falcon and Fun. Its performance seems more similar to an intermediate glider such as a Sonic, but lands more slowly and is lighter to carry and quicker to set-up. The Freedom really excels in cross country flying- thanks to the lifty single surface wing it climbs very quickly in thermals, yet still has great glide- I was able to get 10:1 in light air. Whilst it also flies well on the dunes, it is not as slow and floaty as the Fun or Malibu, which in my opinion make them better dune wings. But for fun stress-free everyday ridge soaring or cross country flight, I would thoroughly recommend the Freedom.

Hi Curt and Louise,
I just wanted to say thank you to you both for the amazing experiences that Joshua, Jessica, and I have had hang gliding with you. We received Josh's disc in the mail and we love the pics!
Jess is a carefree daredevil, while Josh is a bit more of a worrier, and he took alot away from being able to launch off a cliff and have a really enjoyable experience!
Congratulations on your upcoming addition to your family, we wish you all the best, and thank you again!
Kind regards,
Jodie

Hi there Curt & Louise,
My husband, Tim, & I happened to stumble across Bald Hill during a drive up the coast in Jan 09. I was immediately mesmerized by the absolute beauty & grace of the hang gliders and paragliders as they soared through the air. Hence, for my 50th birthday in September 09, my request for a gift was a hang gliding voucher. My family thought I was mad - ("For goodness sake Mum, you're turning 50!!") - & attempted, many times, to tempt me with offers of jewelery, clothing etc, etc. However the memory of the gliders never left, & I stuck to my guns! And so January 31st, 2010 is a day that will forever be etched in my mind as the day when I had one of the most amazingly incredible experiences of my life!! Hang gliding was everything I thought it would be - multiplied by 1000!!! What an awesome, unbelievable feeling, I would have turned around and gone up again straight away without any hesitation!! Probably lucky I don't live any closer, because I know in my heart what I would spend every spare moment doing!! Come on 51st birthday 'cause I know what I'll be asking for again!!!!
Thanks so much Curt for being so wonderful. Yourself and Louise are terrific people, and certainly gave me a feeling of safety. You deliver the whole package with professionalism, caring, and personal service! I can't wait to see the photos and DVD!!
Hope to see you again as soon as I possibly can!!
Thanks heaps, Lynne -

THANK YOU...for an absolutely amazing, fabulous, incredible, cool, amazing (did I say that already?), wonderful and amazing (really, it was) time.
For you to best understand how much all your graciousness and hospitality and help means to me, you should understand something of my recent past. I had big plans for last summer: three months in Europe centered around the Worlds. It was, surprisingly to me, not as grand of a time as I had anticipated it would be. Because of that, I'd begun to wonder after I got home in September if I'd gotten myself into the same situation again with a plan for three months in Australia. I even contemplated canceling the whole idea.
Let me tell you I am so glad I didn't, for this trip has been turning into one of the best times of my life. I am having a blast here.
Big on the list of reasons why (if not probably the biggest) was that initial Stanwell flight: my dreams of hours of effortless ridge soaring in a hangglider finally coming true...and over a spectacular site at that, not just some boring dune of sand.
Today (despite it's errors and lessons thankfully learned without consequence) was also a significant occasion. The second launch, completely unassisted with all the timing called on my own judgment, was a big step, too. Curt, I thank you for not helping me with the launches. Your timing was (no surprise) appropriate and very beneficial. I'd have had you calling the shots time and time again but you chose to wean me for my own good...and it FEELS GOOD.
So.....
Thank you both in ways I cannot express.
Timothy

Hi Curt & Louise
Just want to say thanks again for the fantastic day.
Both Gil and I have been reliving the flight over and overI'm actually having a bit of a problem describing the experience. It was certainly not what I would call extreme - That to me is heart stopping excitement (or terror) depending on how you want to express yourself. The stuff the adrenalin junkies are into and I imagine what jumping out of a plane is all about.
It was certainly exciting, but again it really depends what you mean by exciting.
I guess what I am really trying to say is that words can't describe the experience.
You mentioned a newsletter. We would like to keep abreast of how you go with your world cup campaign.
Once again thanks for a great day.
Regards
Phil

Hi Curt and Louise
I have been meaning to email you for the last week or so, but I had to get a round tuit.
We received the cd's with the pictures thank you very much. We were very impressed with the quality. It also brought back memories of one of the most pleasant experiences Gil and I have had. I've been showing them around work and people are very impressed. There are a couple of people very interested and I'm hoping the interest turns into bookings for you.
The T-shirt fits perfectly. I assume that the funds arrived safely since you haven't been chasing me.
Once again thanks for a fantastic day. You were right when you said the wait would be worth it.
I'm quite interested in taking it further, but we have a Europe trip on ourselves so I will have to wait until next year at which time if I am still as keen as I am now, you will see me for the full course of lessons.
Best of luck in France. Keep us informed about your campaign and travels.

Hello Curt
Thank you for being so quick to organise my refresher course to get me back in the air.
I had a great time and you really helped me get my confidence back, I know feel more than capable of going solo again. It is great to know that you are there to advise and guide me whilst I am flying and what equipment to buy.You have a great way of teaching and I felt safe and understood every thing you talked about, you explained things perfectly I couldn't ask for a better teacher and mentor.
